How To Work Wedges

How To Work Wedges

Wedges look fabulous in any outfit, but anyone will tell you, they look horrible if they are not being worn the right way. We all know that wedges are essential in any outfit, but if they you don't know how to make them look good, then what will can you do? Well, Style It Girl knows six ways to work the wedge!

The Bright Miu Miu's

We all know that eye-catching shoes are always great, so the first way to rock wedges, is going for bright ones! If the wedges are a vibrant color, people will look at them, and think they look great! You can wear bright wedges with almost anything, jeans, blank tee's, and even dresses! These bright Miu Miu's are great because they are super stylish and bright!

Add Some Sparkle, With Coach

The second secret to rocking these shoes, is... go for sparkles, and shines! Coach has a perfect example of how to do this. The metallic gold colored wedge gives a mythological feeling, and the jewels on it makes it
très chic! White flowy skirts or smock shirts go very well with these types of wedges!

Go For Florals, Like Steve Madden

The Third way to work the wedge, is add florals! Whether the print is floral, or there are flowers on the shoe itself, floral wedges are really cute, and all the rage! The wedges can be any color, and will most likely go with everything, but as long as there is that flower there, you are rocking the wedge!

Wedges are great shoes, and now that you know how to work them, you will look fabulous!

    Hi,
I love wedges but I feel you have not properly instructed people on what they actually are. A more academic definition and article would benefit people...
I have done you the favour of researching various definitions from the web:

Definitions of wedges on the Web:

    * wedge - any shape that is triangular in cross section
    * wedge - bomber: a large sandwich made of a long crusty roll split lengthwise and filled with meats and cheese (and tomato and onion and lettuce and condiments); different names are used in different sections of the United States
    * wedge - hacek: a diacritical mark (an inverted circumflex) placed above certain letters (such as the letter c) to indicate pronunciation
    * wedge heel: a heel that is an extension of the sole of the shoe
    * wedge - (golf) an iron with considerable loft and a broad sole
    * wedge - lodge: put, fix, force, or implant; "lodge a bullet in the table"; "stick your thumb in the crack"
    * wedge - something solid that is usable as an inclined plane (shaped like a V) that can be pushed between two things to separate them
    * wedge - squeeze like a wedge into a tight space; "I squeezed myself into the corner"
    * wedge - chock: a block of wood used to prevent the sliding or rolling of a heavy object

    I hope you enjoy.

    Hi,
we love your blog...we own a small shoe shoppe but also love gardening. the both of us feel it would be beneficial if you did a post on hedges shaped as wedges. hedges shaped as wedges are unique and as they say in latin
toga est in horto" (meaning the toga is in the garden) consider this a metaphor for eco friendly fashion. Say for example a wedge hedge promotes eco friendly fashion in a fun, inventive way.
    Consider it please?

  10. Should a 12 year old girl wear wedges to school? My daughter says she should be aloud but I am relying on a positive site, that my daughter reads to help make up my mind!
    Thanks,
